ALL EYES ON YOU
The Eyes of Providence
Location: Short North - Columbus, Ohio
This mural is based from the Eye of Providence. The Eye of Providence (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol that depicts an eye, often enclosed in a triangle and surrounded by rays of light or Glory, meant to represent divine providence, whereby the eye of God watches over humanity.
Instead of one all seeing eye, there are two representing the evolution of human interaction through social media dictating and the judgment of others.
OREWILER chooses to add the all seeing eye in most of his murals.
"It is we that are blind, not Fortune: because our eye is too dim to discover the mystery of her effects, we foolishly paint her blind, and hoodwink the providence of the Almighty."
