Before inquiring about a custom mural, have an ideal calculation of your square footage, provide clear direction for the creation, an ideal timeline to begin your mural and the ideal completion for the initial consultation. This allows a faster estimation of our services and a clear timeline of scheduling and Orewiler's availability.

Square Foot is determined by multiplying the height x width of the painting surface
​
Pricing starts at $20 per square foot and decreases with the increased size of mural; at 290 sf price drops to $18/sf – at 500 sf drops to $15/sf – at 900 sf price drops to $13/sf. Price per square foot may increase if the design requested is complex. This will be indicated in price quote and determined at the time that the final sketch is approved. There will also be added expenses if the wall has obstruction or is not primed ready to paint.

*Each year there is a 10% increase to price according to annual inflation on materials, supplies, etc.
MURAL MINIMUM PRICE
​
Murals sized 0 to 140 Square Feet: Price is $3,500 - We charge a minimum for small murals under 140 square feet because it’s extra time to set up at the location, travel time and accommodating the environment and people surrounding the mural. Realistically, for murals smaller than 140 sf, Orewiler is better off painting an original painting in his studio. There is an upside for the client when commissioning a canvas painting. The client can remove the piece from the wall if they change locations and they can resell or donate the piece to a charity.

VINYL MURALS
Vinyl murals are another route to add value to your wall and would be easily installed by an outside business. This is an option for the client to pay for the graphic design fees ($50 per hour) and solidify a faster completion. Each vinyl mural is weatherproof and can last several years depending on the exposure to weather. Orewiler has created large scale vinyl murals for clients up to 70 feet x 25 feet.

ART CONSULTING & GRAPHIC DESIGN
​
Non-Refundable Design/Sketch Fee: $500 prepaid for art consulting, on site consulting, communications and developing the initial design for your mural. This is non-refundable and will include 4 designs and up to two rounds of revisions. Additional revisions are priced at $250 per sketch or $50 per hour for additional graphic designs.

If you don’t like your designs or decide not to use services after all, you would only lose the money they paid for the sketch fee and you are at least paid for your time for graphic design. We don’t sketch out anything without the design fee and art/ mural consulting can take a several hours of communications to accommodate an ideal design.
​
FINALIZING DESIGN
​
​Once the digital mural design is approved, your next payment of 50% of the mural quote will be due in order to schedule the mural. This also includes initial materials, equipment, travel expenses and documentation for your promotions. You are required to credit the artist with any advertising. The final balance for the mural will be required one week prior to the scheduled completion.

TIMELINE OF PRODUCTION
​
Orewiler schedules his outdoor and indoor murals throughout the year. Exterior murals are mainly scheduled for production during spring, summer and fall. If you would like an exterior mural, you would have to plan several months in advance to solidify communications, sketches, an agreement and scheduling around his availability. Interior murals can be produced anytime throughout the year depending on openings in Orewiler's schedule.
The higher the walls, the longer the painting takes. Pricing may change based on scaffolding, boom/ scissor lift (including street permit if needed) or extra tall ladders needed.

Pricing for each custom painting is $25-50 per hour. (Hourly Wage × Hours Spent) + Cost of Materials
These prices include art consulting, scheduling a timeline, insurance, transportation and travel expenses. Minimum canvas size is 20"x24" and maximum is 8' x 12'. The quotes provided do not include a frame. Orewiler has a list of framers that he can provide.

Orewiler and his team offers art consulting, photography and graphic design for your specific needs to accomplish your vision and accommodate your space.
Non-Refundable Graphic Design/Sketch Fee: $500+ Includes up to 2 sets of changes by client (Additional sketches charged at $250/sketch) *We have a limit of up to 3 sketches. Any additional work - Orewiler's charges a graphic design fee - $50 per hour.

Photography: $250+ Includes several photographs without edits for the graphic design concepts. If the job requires travel, expenses will be added to total cost on the invoice.
